Puerto Morelos : The Laid-Back Fishing Town of the Riviera Maya

Where is Puerto Morelos?
This beach is in the state of Quintana Roo. It is 19 miles from Playa del Carmen and 18 miles from Cancún, so if you are in either of these towns, it won’t take you long to get there (only 25 and 35 minutes, respectively).
How is the weather in Puerto Morelos?
The weather here tends to be humid and hot: it can linger between 78°F and 80°F throughout the year. During the summer though, the temperature can reach 89°F; while in the winter it can lower to 55°F.

There are many things you can do on this beach. People who love sports can go snorkeling, swimming and windsurfing. You can take a boat ride to the National Marine Park to snorkel or scuba dive.
If you want to stay dry, you can wander around town and visit the artisan shops or eat at different restaurants. In case you are feeling adventurous, there are biking and ATV tours around the area…you can even go zip-lining in the jungle!
