Choj Ha Cenote: a natural cathedral

The Choj Ha cenote, which enchants anybody who visits it, is a few miles from the town of X-can. In an area full of remarkable cenotes, caves, and tunnels. It just takes approximately a 50-foot journey to discover some stairs that provide a magnificent panoramic view of the entire area.

Choj Ha Cenote: What to expect

The Choj-Ha cenote features a simple entry with wooden stairs and lighting that highlight the cave’s crystalline waters. Nevertheless, if you don’t want to descend down to the cave’s deepest portion, you may go to a specific location. There you can also refresh yourself without difficulty. Diving, snorkeling, and rappelling inside the cave itself, descending to a small cavern near  the cenote, are just a few of the activities available.

The cathedral of wonders

Due to its huge size and its amazing and many formations, the cavern area is known as “The Cathedral of Wonders.” It’s a great place to take the whole family to enjoy the breathtaking surroundings and take a swim in the crystal clear, turquoise waters.

It looks like a semi-circle, and its stunning beauty will definitely fascinate you. Its ceiling is full of stalagmites, and its clear waters of blue tones beckon you to cool yourself in them. It has a place where small children or timid individuals can refresh themselves without entering into the cave’s deepest part. Few cenotes contain Columnatas, which are stalagmites and stalactites that have combined over time; this one has several, including one with a little jacuzzi where you may relax for a while.

There are also guides that run the facility and supply all of the cenote’s information. A simple tour might take you to a lovely cave where you can witness various formations and speleothems.
