Holbox has that special charm that makes you want to just get lost in its narrow sandy streets. It would be a shame to disembark at the port and run directly to the beach without giving yourself a chance to soak up the place. If you are looking to simply enjoy the beach without having to consume, Punta Mosquito is a must see in Holbox. Located on a tip of the island, there is turquoise water and fine sandy beaches, filled with small shells, 2km from the nearest hotel.
It is certainly one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico, and as a bonus, you can see pink flamingos.

Because of its geographical location, Holbox is a very windy island during the winter months. With its shallow water and wide beach (safe to ride), it is an ideal destination to learn to kitesurf in Mexico. Even advanced kitesurfers can enjoy it because the wind can reach up to +28 knots.
Taste the beer of Holbox
Holbox has its own beer: the Holboxeña. They have only one style of beer, and not just any beer: a coconut porter. A classic porter with a good toasted cocoa taste, not too sweet and a coconut aroma. It is light, perfect for the beach.
Attend the bioluminescence show at Punta Cocos
Punta Cocos is another little visited point of the island, with another heavenly beach full of shells. The advantage here is that you can get there by golf cart or bicycle. One of its great attractions is the night show of bioluminescence. It can be seen all year round, but the best time is from June to October (when it is warmer).
