Beach, Food, And Live Music at Ziggy’s Beach Club

Everybody likes days at the beach, but they usually require some planning: a towel to sit on, an umbrella for shade. That’s where beach clubs come in. At Ziggy’s Beach Club, you can just jump on one of the beach beds, relax, and enjoy the ocean. Drinks, food, and other amenities are taken care of. And here you don’t even have to leave when the sun goes down.

Where is Ziggy’s Beach Club?

If you’ve ever been to places like Playa Paraiso or Las Palmas you know what kind of view to expect here. Ziggy’s is pretty much part of the same stretch of beach. You don’t need a reservation to enjoy this place, which makes it a great stop to and from other tourist attractions nearby, such as Tulum or the Chunyaxche lagoon.

The facilities at the club

The idea at Ziggy’s Beach Club is to relax—simple as that—and its facilities are very much geared towards that goal. The beach here is your typical Riviera Maya beach. White, powdery sand and turquoise ocean; a great view from Ziggy’s beds.

The place is populated with them. Some are shaded with thatched palapas, others by the palm trees themselves; some are next to each other, while others are more private. Other lounging options are available, too, such as deck chairs and hammocks.

Whichever you choose, you can get your drinks delivered to your hand or go take a seat at one of the bar’s swing seats or tables. Most are shaded as well, but a couple are not, and are great to enjoy once the sun goes down.

Ziggy’s Restaurant

The restaurant at Ziggy’s opens earlier than the beach club itself and closes at a later time. It starts serving food at 7 in the morning, so arrive early and eat breakfast while you wait for the beach club to open at 10. Alternatively, stay at the beach club until it closes, at 6, and just move to the restaurant for dinner.

Ziggy’s restaurant also features special events like live music, a seafood grill, and tequila tasting depending on the day of the week.
