Isla Blanca beach: a well-kept secret
Isla Blanca beach s a coastal peninsula in the continental region of the well-known municipality of Isla Mujeres. This is located in Quintana Roo, Mexico. This island is one of Mexico’s best clean and tidy beaches. With a long stretch of white sand separating the Chacmuchuc lagoon from the Caribbean Sea.
Heaven on earth
This 12-mile-long coastal strip is 1600 feet wide at its narrowest point and 2700 feet wide at its largest point. The sea passes from side to side in the narrow area of the island, giving it the name “White Island.” There is no traffic, there are no high-rise hotels, and there are no loud nightclubs. Instead, there’s a ribbon of white sand along the peninsula’s oceanside, which is mostly deserted except for a few rustic beach clubs and the occasional beachcomber; and a lagoon on the other side, which attracts fly fishermen on grand slam missions and kiteboarders flipping and flying like giant butterflies thanks to the steady wind and shallow waters.
Watch for the wildlife
The journey to Isla Blanca beach is a must-do for animal lovers. Birds like pelicans, frigate birds, flamingos, and toucans, mammals like monkeys and opossums, reptiles like iguanas, turtles, and snakes, and reptiles like iguanas, turtles, and snakes. Isla Blanca is home to these and many other species.
Some tips
Isla Blanca beach is roughly 18 miles north of Cancun. Take Bonampak Avenue towards Punta Sam if you’re driving. This route will lead you to Isla Blanca, where you will be able to find parking. Buses to Isla Blanca depart at three different times throughout the day at the crossroads of Lopez Portillo and Tulum avenues.
Consider spending the night
Because the waves on this shore are medium to strong, especially when there is a lot of wind, knowing how to swim or at least float is essential. It’s ideal for kitesurfing, so if you want to try it out, ask where the nearest store is located so you can take advantage of the good waves. Many locals rent tents so that you may see Mexico’s first sunrise and gorgeous sunset. If you decide to go on this excursion, make sure you have rechargeable batteries, a flashlight, mosquito repellent cream (avoid aerosols), and snacks with you so you can watch the sunrise without any issues.
