San Crisanto in Yucatan: What to do
The port of San Crisanto offers the most beautiful sunsets on the Yucatecan coast. Visitors will enjoy spectacular views with hundreds of coconut palms. They are present all the way to this destination a few kilometers from the end of the territory of Telchac Puerto.
The main attraction of this port is undoubtedly to visit the mangroves and immerse yourself in a fresh-water lagoon. This tour was enabled by the port cooperative to support local workers and promote the visit to this place. You can also swim with fish in the area.
Cenotes and camping
San Crisanto is also famous for being part of the so-called Emerald Coast, which runs from the port of Progreso to Dzilam de Bravo. On this route you can enjoy different attractions in each of the ports that make it up. If you are a fan of camping, this place is perfect because it has a beach line of up to 100 meters. It is ideal to set up a tent and enjoy its beauty from sunrise to sunset.
Ecotourism activities are another favorite in this destination on the Yucatan coast. San Crisanto has 45 cenotes, of which 25 are authorized for tourism. The most visited is Dzonot-Tzik or Cenote Bravo, for its crystal clear water, where you will also find all the services to spend a day in contact with nature.
San Crisanto in Yucatan: About the fish
There are about 12 fish, which measure almost 60 cm and are the biggest attraction when you are in the place. The mangrove tour lasts an hour and a half and costs $60 per person. Additionally to the tour in these mangroves you can rent a cabin on the shore of the beach to enjoy as a couple or with friends. The price varies according to the season and the number of occupants. These cabins are located a few meters before entering the town.
