What to do in Costa Mujeres: Nearby attractions
Very near Cancun’s dazzling turquoise blue waters, Playa Delfines offers the tranquil beach experience that many seek. During the day, Playa Delfines has the safety of lifeguards, making it a perfect place to come with young children. Near the shore the waves are gentle, so little ones can play under the watchful eye of a trained medical officer on site.
Playa Delfines is 17 kilometers (10.5 miles) from downtown Cancun. You can get here by bus or cab; it is open at all hours, however, lifeguards are only present during the day.
Tortugas Beach
It is an excellent beach for water activities such as snorkeling, swimming and bungee jumping. The waves are gentle, making it an ideal place for swimming. Because the pier here is long, boats rarely come close to the shore and therefore it is a great place to swim with children.
Playa Tortugas is approximately eight kilometers (five miles) from downtown Cancun and can be reached by bus or cab.
What to do in Costa Mujeres: Playa Linda Boardwalk
This marks the meeting point between the Caribbean Sea and the fresh water of the Nichupté Lagoon, on which Cancun’s hotel zone is built. This beach is the starting point for many boat and ferry tours, and is where Cancun’s iconic rotating scenic tower is located.
Playa Linda is where you will find La Torre de Cancun, a scenic, revolving tower where you climb up above the Marina. Here you will have one of the best views of Cancun.
