Have fun like a Mayan at Sol y Luna cenote
The Sol y Luna cenote, which is located on the Cenotes Route in the municipality of Puerto Morelos, and is approximately 45 minutes from Cancun. It is a great option for any day of the week.
Sol y Luna Cenote: What to expect
ATV excursions, zip-lining, paintball, and traditional temazcal sweat lodge ceremonies are all available at Sol y Luna, a rather large cenote with an open pool, a closed cavern called “Alux”, and a bevy of other activities, including ATV tours, zip-lining, and paintball. It’s also one of the region’s only cenotes with campsites, allowing you to fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle and wake up in bliss. You can also find swimming pools, a Mayan Museum, an interactive Farm, and a restaurant with your family. ATV trips, gotcha, and pony or horse tours are also available.
Climb up!
On the site, there’s also a looming copy of a Mayan pyramid, which adds to the Instagrammability. If you’re traveling with children, this is a great option because it has various kid-friendly activities and even a unique camping area for them.
The cenote entrance price includes access to the zip line, dive pool, adult and splash pools, and a tour of a Mayan pyramid model with a Mayan culture museum within.
The place is very large, and even lends itself to camping, weddings and parties. However, the cost of access for both adults and children only includes access to the cenote, life vest, use of the zip line, use of the diving platform, access to the swimming pools for adults and children, and a tour in the replica of a Mayan pyramid. Inside there is a museum of Mayan culture, and the tour to the Interactive Farm. The temazcal ceremony, paintball game, and ATV’s are included in other packages of access to the site.
