The Cocodrilo Dorado Cenote: How to get there

The cenote is situated in the southern part of Chetumal. It will take you approximately two hours to reach the town of La Union, so you’ll need to follow the 186 Chetumal-Villahermosa highway. Upon reaching the intersection bridge, take the Escárcega/Campeche exit and continue on the 186 for about 15 miles until you reach the community of Ucum. From Ucum, turn left onto the Ucum-La Union highway. Follow this road for approximately 55 miles, and you will arrive in La Union. While there are buses that provide direct transportation, you can also opt for a taxi, though be mindful of the associated costs.
