Because CUN is the worldwide IATA code for Cancun, it may appear on your flight ticket as CUN airport. Cancun International Airport has four terminals: Terminal 2, Terminal 3, Terminal 4, and Terminal FBO (Fixed Based Operations). Domestic and international flights to Central and South America depart at Terminal 2. International flights to North America and Europe depart at Terminal 3. Terminal 4 is the next stop, and it handles international flights. Finally, all private aviation and noncommercial flights arrive at Terminal FBO.

Cancun airport tips: Before landing

You will be given two forms to fill out during your flight: one for Immigration (Tourist Card or FM-T) and another for Customs (Customs Declaration Form). The tourist form is for each individual, and the customs form is for each family. There are numerous eateries at the airport where you can dine before going or arriving in Cancun. There are additional restaurants open to the public in the main area. The majority of restaurants are open from 6 a.m. till around midnight.

How to move around

The bus company that serves the airport is ADO. This is the only available mode of public transit. All four terminals are served by the ADO bus, which travels to downtown Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. A shuttle is a fantastic alternative if you want a low-cost option that will get you from point A to point B without having to take a taxi from the bus stop. These are frequently a better option than taking the ADO bus because they transport you to your accommodation rather than the bus stop.
