Milagros Lagoon is excellent for a day vacation or a few days of relaxation and enjoyment with family, friends, or your significant other. Despite its tiny size, there are various locations to stay and taste local cuisine. It also serves as a venue for local and national canoeing contests.

Milagros Lagoon: Ideal for swimming

Milagros Lagoon’s warm and quiet water is ideal for a refreshing swim. Enjoy the area’s natural beauty, which will make you feel as if you’re being engulfed by a dazzling, blue light. There are several entry sites to the lagoon, and you can even hire a palapa and spend the entire day between the lagoon and a relaxing hammock. You may also visit the Balneario Ejidal, a water park with a distinct and real vibe, as it is where locals go to relax and enjoy the lagoon.

All natural

Unlike in other tourist destinations, in Milagros Lagoon there are no hotels, large restaurants, or large structures that could harm the environment. Away from the crowds, Milagros is ideal for nature lovers; here you will only find a few small restaurants that will gladly serve you the freshest seafood in delectable dishes prepared in the style of the locals.

Hungry?

Several seafood eateries may be found on Milagros’s coastline. You can also visit the Catfish Sanctuary, a location where tourists can feed groups of this species. There are cabins or large grassy areas in the region where campgrounds can be built up. Visit the floating restaurants if you wish to eat and experience the local specialties; you’ll usually find fish and seafood, which are the region’s traditional products. Another option is to travel along the highway, where you will find various places to eat carnitas, roast chicken, BBQ, or antojitos Yucatecos.
