Explore Cozumel lodging at Explorean
There sure are many things to see and do in Cozumel and the people who own the Explorean know this. Adventure is the name of the game here, as, besides the normal hotel amenities, it offers its guests a daily activity to explore this famous island in the Mexican Caribbean.
Where is the Explorean Hotel?
Explorean is right next door to Fiesta Americana and shares its great location. Surrounded by vegetation, one feels lost in the middle of the jungle. In reality, though, the town of Cozumel, with its many restaurants and tourist attractions, is just a short distance away.
The Chankanaab eco-park, one of the island’s primordial snorkeling spots, is pretty much walking distance to the south, along the coast. In the opposite direction, one would find the underwater tours of Atlantis Submarines Cozumel and, a bit further away, the ferry to Playa del Carmen.
At Explorean, all-inclusive means adventures
What sets Explorean apart from the other hotels here is its adventure packages. Every day, guests are welcome to join a different activity somewhere, whether going to a cenote, visiting the ruins at San Gervasio, or taking a guided bike ride around the jungle. These activities are part of the all-inclusive package, so guests don’t have to worry about having to pay an extra fee. Plus, the hotel provides all the equipment necessary—snorkels, life jackets, even the bikes—plus a guide, depending on the activity.
Explorean plus Fiesta Americana
Explorean aims for a minimalistic experience for its guests (there’s no TV in the rooms, for example). However, it also grants them access to use the facilities of its sister hotel, the Fiesta Americana, right next door, as they’re owned by the same people.
That comes in handy. As it has no beach, for example, the Explorean guests are welcome to enjoy the one at Fiesta Americana. Plus, restaurants there are included in the Explorean’s all-inclusive package, too. So, really, except for the rooms, for around USD 200, you’re getting two hotels for the price of one.
