Recharge your batteries at Secrets Aura Cozumel

With the wide variety of lodging options in Cozumel, it’s challenging to choose one for a reason other than price. The choice is easier with Secrets Aura Cozumel. This adults-only place is perfect for those who wish for a relaxing, spa-like, quiet vacation, with perhaps a thrilling aquatic activity or two to boot.

Where is Secrets Aura Cozumel?

Like many of the better hotels in Cozumel, Secrets Aura is on the coast, along the Quintana Roo C-1 Highway towards the south of the island. That may mean guests are somewhat far away from the town, not to mention larger Caribbean cities like Playa del Carmen or Cancun, but there’s still plenty to do in Cozumel itself.

Secrets Aura is close to some of Cozumel’s biggest tourist attractions, like the famed eco-park Chankanaab, to the north, and Punta Sur, in the opposite direction.

And there’s no shortage of things to do in the hotel itself, either.

Activities at Secrets Aura Cozumel

Secrets Aura Cozumel offers many different snorkeling and diving tours around the island that set off from the hotel’s private pier.

But there are plenty of activities in the hotel itself, which has a couple of tennis courts; basketball, soccer, and volleyball facilities; and even an archery range, for those who wish to channel their inner Robin Hood.

A place for quiet, relaxing vacations

Not all activities are geared towards the more adventurous; many are designed to provide a quiet and relaxing experience.

For starters, there are no children allowed at Secrets Aura Cozumel. And, if the peace around its pools isn’t relaxing enough, guests can also visit the spa which offers several kinds of treatments, from your regular massage to a whole hydrotherapy circuit.

But it wouldn’t be a relaxing experience without a relaxing room to go back to. At Secrets Aura, every room has either a view of the ocean or the pool; the fancier ones even have a private, swim-up pool, too. But even in the regular rooms, which start at around USD 300, your relaxation is pretty much guaranteed.
