Activities near Bahia Principe Grand

Bahia Principe Grand is on Highway 307, between Tulum to Playa del Carmen. If you’ve ever been to the Riviera Maya, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of this highway before. It’s flanked by some of the most sought-after tourist attractions; Xel-Ha Park and the Tulum archeological site are only a few miles down the road. To the north, Playa del Carmen is just a few minutes away; Cancun, less than an hour.

What is there to do there?

The Bahia Principe Grand enormous complex includes several hotels of which Tulum and Coba are the most well-known. You could spend the whole time in the complex itself and never run out of things to do. There are three pools, for starters, and a water park for kids.

Want a drink? First you need to decide from where. There are six bars and four restaurants. The main restaurant has an all-day buffet while the others, which require a reservation, are slightly fancier. Some feature a specific kind of cuisine, such as Brazilian or traditional Mexican.

The spa includes an indoor gym, and you can swim with dolphins in the dolphinarium–honestly.

The beach at Bahia Principe Grand

With several access points from the resort, the beach at Bahia Principe Grand is a generous stretch of sand lined with deck chairs under thatched palapas for shade. As a guest of Bahia Principe, each day you have one-hour free access to different kinds of sporting equipment to enjoy the ocean even more, like snorkels or paddle boats.

And these are just a couple of things. This hotel you access to so much stuff, like a golf course and nightclubs, that we can’t fit it all in a short guide. The only way to see it all is to experience it for yourself.
