LabnaHa Cenotes and Eco Park: Learn to Appreciate the Nature Around You
You could pretty much swim the length from Tulum to Playa del Carmen in cenotes alone, there are so many. Some of them are within parks and other tourist attractions to make the experience more complete. In LabnaHa, for instance, besides spending time in their three beautiful cenotes, you’ll feel closer to nature, thanks to the park’s activities and the passion of their guides.
The activities at LabnaHa
Obviously, given that cenotes are the main attraction at LabnaHa, you’ll spend time snorkeling and swimming (don’t worry about your stuff, as you can rent a locker). The cenotes are of various kinds, too; very different from each other. There’s an entirely open cenote that looks like a lagoon and another completely enclosed in a cave.
But, when it comes to its natural resources, the philosophy in LabnaHa is slightly different from other places. They only allow a certain number of people per day, and they try to avoid large crowds. The result: the cenotes are enjoyed with a small group each time.
Other activities at LabnaHa
Not everything is swimming in cenotes at LabnaHa, though. The Eco Park has its own set of activities for visitors to enjoy while they learn to appreciate the nature around them. Zipline courses cross the park at treetops height, and you can take a kayak tour as well. There really is something for everyone.
LabnaHa’s guided tours
Probably what sets LabnaHa apart from other cenotes and eco-parks are the guides. You get assigned one as soon as you enter, and he or she will stay with you throughout your whole visit. They know their stuff and are not shy to share with you all kinds of information.
Along the paths between the three cenotes, for instance, they’ll point out plants of importance. Not only their place in the ecosystem but their overall benefits and how the local Mayan community uses them. That usually leads them to different stories from the Mayan mythology.
Tour over, not only you’ll have experienced a beautiful place but will surely find a new appreciation for these beautiful places and the environment around them.
