Marina el Cid Puerto Morelos
Puerto Morelos has lodgings for every taste, and Marina el Cid is one for those who enjoy being surrounded by its fellow guests and living the hotel life. With many restaurants and amenities for its guests, there’s no shortage of stuff to do in the hotel itself.
Where is Marina el Cid?
Though it’s technically in Puerto Morelos, the Marina el Cid is in the outskirts of town, giving it a sense of seclusion and privacy without being too far away from everything else, as it’s only about twenty minutes from Puerto Morelos’ downtown.
Other tourist attractions, like the Dr. Alfredo Barrera Marin botanic garden and Punta Brava beach, to the south, are also just a short drive away. The National Reef Park is a few minutes away in the other direction in what probably is the most famous spot in Puerto Morelos—you know, where the leaning lighthouse is.
If you book a fishing or diving trip you’ll probably set off from the pier here. If you book it from el Cid itself, you’ll probably set off from the hotel’s own—as its name suggests—marina. And that’s just one of the amenities.
Amenities at Marina el Cid Hotel
Other than booking different tours and trips, guests of el Cid have access to all kinds of things to make their time here an entertaining and comfortable one. Not only does it have a kid’s club, but a teen’s one, too; tennis courts, a spa and fitness area, adults-only area, just to name a few.
Of course, most guests are interested in the pool. You’ll be happy to know, it’s huge. So large, in fact, that it has—not one, but two cafeterias next to it. Plus, it’s got a separate section for kids with a slide and it’s surrounded by deck chairs and shaded tables to spend as long as you want to relax.
El Cid also has five bars and five restaurants to choose from, each dedicated to a different kind of food, such as Mexican or Italian.
The Beach at el Cid Hotel
Being next to the ocean, Marina el Cid’s guests can enjoy the beautiful Puerto Morelos beach from a series of thatched palapas or even a wooden deck to stare at the ocean. Those with a bit more adventure in their hearts can rent sporting equipment, like snorkels and kayaks, right from the beach.
