Xavage Park : Even the Food is Xavage

Some parks offer the chance of swimming in cenotes; others, of diving in caves; some others, flying across the jungle at tree height. Those are pretty thrilling. But, if you’re the type of person who would yawn at those, Xavage Park sounds like the place for you.

What exactly is Xavage Park?

If you’ve been to parks like Xel-Ha, Xplor, and Xenses, you’ll know what to expect in Xavage Park in terms of quality, as it belongs to the same people— Xcaret group. This one, though, is geared more towards those who have a sporty personality and are looking for a more extreme experience, as the rides here are guaranteed to get the adrenaline going.

The Rides at Xavage Park

Though designed to thrill, the rides at Xavage Park certainly are very different from each other. Want to find out how strong you are? The Monkeys Ride is a crazy structure crisscrossed by ropes and platforms with a simple goal: reach the end. Oh, and don’t fall (though, if you do, you’re attached to a metal wire at all times, so don’t worry). It’s easier said than done.

Or maybe driving is your thing. Ride one of Xavage’s monster trucks around a dirt track full of obstacles. Something about climbing rock steps in a car that makes you feel like you can do anything. Like crossing some rapids in a raft, for example. Hop in with a group of people and traverse the longest artificial rapids in the world—teamwork is the name of the game here. And, since you’re in the water already, get in a speedboat while your insane pilot (but extremely well-trained) shows you what a high-speed 360-degree turn feels like.

Take a breather in the restaurant

Stop. Sit. Rest. You should grab a bite to eat. The buffet has a wide variety of dishes from all over the world. But if you thought this place’s name is Xavage just because it has a few extreme rides, you’re in for a surprise. The food is “xavage” here, too. You’ve tried burgers made from beef but, have you ever had an ostrich burger? How ‘bout crocodile? It’s interesting to take a bite out of something that usually takes a bite out of you.
